Kannawidan 2011

Ylocanos take pride in presenting the fruit of our culture which we have worked for how many years.

Kannawidan or so called nakaugalian is a yearly celebration of the Ilocanos living from the different places in Ylocos and will showcase ones culture and tradition. The Kannawidan Trade Fair is a bargain-like type yet and exhibit produced by Ylocanos because it is where you can spot and discover unusual things such as the biggest shrimps, Kamote, Tilapia, Squash and many more. This 7-day event was really filled with strange activities and contests which were joined by those who are interested. The contest such as , Kinnanan', 'Inninuman iti Basi' and those 'Zarzuela, and 'Burburtia' was just a part of the shows. The most awaited part of this event and the so called highlight of it was the Search for Miss Saniata 2011. A Beauty and Brain Competition competed by those lovely ladies of different places. The cold breeze of the night wasn't a hindrance in going to Plaza Salcedo. Though it's crowded, people are really enjoying the shw especially in those times that some Abs-Cbn Stars came over to showcase their talents and to entertain us as well.

Kannawidan is a real thing that we Ylocanos can consider as an asset. The preservation of this will make a transformation and surly next year, we'll celebrate this kind of event even better.

Well, it is also a sign of progress.

Banderitas, Bargain Stalls, Parades, Carnival and Street Dance. Things which we consider as a part of one's culture whenever we are celebrating feasts of our Patron Saints or in Tagalog it is so called 'Pista'

The City of Vigan is celebrating its City Fiesta every 25th day of January of the Year. Bigueños takes pleasure in presenting what does Ylocanos or the people of Vigan usually do. The flash of glee started last January 19 and ended up last January 30,2011.

19th evening, it was the production night of the Siglat Variety Show wherein Great Bigueño Artists came to showcase their talents especially in acting. The Vigan City Dep-Ed Day was done last January 21,2011. All students all over Vigan including teachers had their parade. Unfortunately, some of us wasn't able to join our platoon it just because they have represented the school in the Vigan City Quiz. Luckily, we were awarded as the champion. On the 22nd, I deem this as the best yet the most tremendous moment of my life. The Longganisa Festival was done successfully. We were running as if there is an accident, yelling and cheering with friends and taking the best shot as I could. During the showdown, I enjoyed every single second of it. The feeling was really unexplainable as I sat beside him and watched the show together. That was something-like sweet when the fireworks Display began. We were watching at the middle of the Plaza Burgos wearing the sweetest smile ever.

The most awaited part of the City Fiesta was held on the 25th. There was a Grand Parade joined by Government Officials and Employees, Owner of a merchandise, students, teachers, supervisors, well-known person and many more. It took almost one and a half hour. There was also a Zarzuela last January 28.

Those were just a snap details of the whole celebration. It is a yearly tradition that we are recognizing the feast of our patron Saint--Saint Paul. Keep this culture and we'll be having a well-again fiesta in the future.

Reflection for TGP :)

Another grading period have passed. One more grading to go and it will already be our turn to bid our beloved Alma Mater GOODBYE.

I know it isn't easy. High School life has been a part of my life and have the most memorable memories to keep for a life time.

ICT IV have already played an important role in my daily living. An hour to review, a time to cram, a time to be WORRY-FREE and a time to be happy. Because of this field, I was able to learn how to make our web design and became more familiar from those terms which are usually found on the NotePad. Things which can not be taught using ICT was also taught by our very own Ma'am Eve. She gave me strength to face all me fears and made me apprehend from my mistakes.( Thanks Ma'am ! :) ) Because of her Words of Wisdom, I've let myself grow. I'm no longer a kid so I MUST learn how o control my self.

God, PLEASE help me. I can still improve my learning strategy. I'll try to become a Good Girl ( for the Nth time). Wish that our teacher won't change and will still be patient in guiding us through the right path.

New Year, New Life, New Style and New M.E.E

I don't have any new resolutions not because I may not do it. But a girl like me wishes for a CHANGE in herself, for the world and for our new society.

"10--9--8--7--6--5--4--3--2--1---- Happy New Year!" People shouted as they join the countdown from the live forecasting of the television or radio at home. Time flies so fast. It seems that it was just yesterday when we have welcomed the Year 2010 and now Year 2011 is already there/

During the past, I have learned tings which were not taught by a teacher nor read from a book. The Year 2010 made me realize that friends are important. And I've proved that they are the main ingredient of this recipe of life. Though LOVE from each other exists, still you'll come to a point that you may lose you friendship. For a simple misunderstanding arose the term "SEPARATION" between me and my Best Buddies.

I guess this was the most intricate problem I've ever encounter. Back stabs, Make-face and GMs. Things which you can notice from us during the battle between the Largest Continent ( Where I belong ) and the Smallest Continent ( where they belong). Every word against me silently breaking my heart ad sometimes tears roll down from my cheeks.

All of a sudden, after those tribulations, we were able to fix it. For a week, I've been so friendless. But in just one click, whew! They're back!

Now I know. For sometime I've been so egotistical and bighead. At time I just cant control myself. Wish I could break this bad attitude of mine and will try to make something better.

For this year, TRANSFORMATION is what I'm aiming for. I'll do the best just to make sure that I'll not be again on my worst. I'll do this for my own good and be able to build up an extra-ordinary friendship again WITHOUT any complications. Hope this will work. This is me. The New MEE. (Maria Estrelita Esposo)

The True Essence of Christmas

Every drop of the Cold Water and the Cold Breeze that come chills me and come to a point and realize that Christmas is Coming.

The Colorful lights in the evening, Cute Christmas Decors hanging, the Christmas Trees, Animated and Human-Sized Belens, the Christmas Carols and Aguinaldos-all of this makes Christmas Season AMAZING!

Christmas Time is here again and us we have been doing this ever since. A time which brings an extra-ordinary smile to each people of the world. The spirit of this season is all about sharing, giving and loving.

HAPPINESS from within is what we receive if we share God's Blessings to others. They may not give you something in return, atleast you have shared something for them.

Christmas is a the time when you get homesick -even if you're at home. A time for a Family Bonding. Filipinos from Abroad even have their vacation during this season just to be with their families and spend the Christmas together.



Christmas is for all. Spread your LOVE not only for your love ones but for others and also for God. Christmas is not for Aguinados and Gifts that matters. It's your love for others.

'THE SIX'

True Friends are what we make in our entire lifetime and it happens to be one of the Greatest Possession and Treasure you can have from God.

Love and Friendship teaches us the spirit of sharing and give meaning to an ordinary experience.

"The SIX" started from being something out of nothing. They've been super friends when they were still in Elementary. But because of having a Golden-Opened Heart, they are always willing to Welcome someone to become a part of ones life. A simple outing made the group expand for more. - Expand in a way that they have entertained and gained new friends and made them a part of their lives.

They are used to build an extraordinary day. You can see them anytime together having their bonding and wearing the sweetest smile on their lips showing the true essence of happiness. They're fond of having trips. Singing and laughing together. Showing the LOVE for each other. They drop their plans whenever one is in trouble, shares joy for ones accomplishment and feels sad whenever one is in pain. Though one takes her feelings secretly, each of them can still feel the painful thing from within.

A group who believe in a word such as 'FOREVER' They know that the Trust,Care, Loyalty and Love will keep them together.

Memories will never fade yet in their hearts it will always be kept. No one can break the friendship they've made. 'THE SIX' will always be together-FOREVER.
