Change: It Starts with ME

Change is the only thing that is constant in this world. Everything changes; whether it's for better or for worst. A change is what we need in this nation of poverty and hunger. It is something which can help the society.

We are in need of good leaders who are always known to be the models and will lead us through the right way. Leaders are often saying that people must change to improve lives. But, how can you rule your followers if you don't know how to rule or discipline yourself.

A change must ALWAYS start in you. Do things which you know that can help yourself as well as others. There are 3 steps for a change. First, be good in your studies. You can lead better if you have a good mind. Balancing your time contributes a great help on leading your followers. Second, do your responsibilities. Do not wait others to do things for you. Instead of just supervising and comparing yourself to others, why not try making something. Who knows? This things will lift you up in achieving your dreams easier. Third, RULE and and FOLLOW. You must not be contented on your position feeling so comfortable in commanding others. Instead, do your task and never neglect to ask from your followers and never reject suggestions which are not yet tested or discussed.

I know that a CHANGE for the better will never be easy. But if you are to care about the society, you must do your part and a CHANGE will improve your life.

My Dream, My Future

I'm almost there. I'm almost done. After completing the 4-year life being a High School student. It'll already be a must for me to choose what will I take and be ready to take the next step.

A dream is what we want in our life. Which will provide things for our own necessities. Our dream can always be our future but our future can't be our dream.

Thinking of what course will I take wasn't never been easy. In fact, this will be a time-consuming decision making. Because whatever decision you'll make can conquer your whole living.

As for now, I'm dreaming of becoming a top student of our batch.(In college) I mean, being a Cum Laude rather. A dream which maybe simple but I guess it is the most tremendous of them all. Being a Cum Laude Graduate will be my highest achievement and will serve as an asset. This recognition is a treasure to be which you can keep for a lifetime and someday you'll reminisce all your efforts and sacrifices. In finding a good job, you will find it easier because good jobs are already waiting for you.

Making my family proud is also one of my dreams . Being a Cum Laude will never be easy but then, I'll be able to make it. Giving them the Love and Care they need is my responsibility for a girl who will never be successful without them.

My dreams will not just serve as an imagination nor an ambition. I'll pursue just to meet my goal. And someday, I can already say that my dreams came true and those for my future will surely be fruitful as an outcome of those thing that I'll do.

-Hopefully I can... Ü

Kannawidan 2011

Ylocanos take pride in presenting the fruit of our culture which we have worked for how many years.

Kannawidan or so called nakaugalian is a yearly celebration of the Ilocanos living from the different places in Ylocos and will showcase ones culture and tradition. The Kannawidan Trade Fair is a bargain-like type yet and exhibit produced by Ylocanos because it is where you can spot and discover unusual things such as the biggest shrimps, Kamote, Tilapia, Squash and many more. This 7-day event was really filled with strange activities and contests which were joined by those who are interested. The contest such as , Kinnanan', 'Inninuman iti Basi' and those 'Zarzuela, and 'Burburtia' was just a part of the shows. The most awaited part of this event and the so called highlight of it was the Search for Miss Saniata 2011. A Beauty and Brain Competition competed by those lovely ladies of different places. The cold breeze of the night wasn't a hindrance in going to Plaza Salcedo. Though it's crowded, people are really enjoying the shw especially in those times that some Abs-Cbn Stars came over to showcase their talents and to entertain us as well.

Kannawidan is a real thing that we Ylocanos can consider as an asset. The preservation of this will make a transformation and surly next year, we'll celebrate this kind of event even better.

Well, it is also a sign of progress.

That's what they call...

Banderitas, Bargain Stalls, Parades, Carnival and Street Dance. Things which we consider as a part of one's culture whenever we are celebrating feasts of our Patron Saints or in Tagalog it is so called 'Pista'

The City of Vigan is celebrating its City Fiesta every 25th day of January of the Year. Bigueños takes pleasure in presenting what does Ylocanos or the people of Vigan usually do. The flash of glee started last January 19 and ended up last January 30,2011.

19th evening, it was the production night of the Siglat Variety Show wherein Great Bigueño Artists came to showcase their talents especially in acting. The Vigan City Dep-Ed Day was done last January 21,2011. All students all over Vigan including teachers had their parade. Unfortunately, some of us wasn't able to join our platoon it just because they have represented the school in the Vigan City Quiz. Luckily, we were awarded as the champion. On the 22nd, I deem this as the best yet the most tremendous moment of my life. The Longganisa Festival was done successfully. We were running as if there is an accident, yelling and cheering with friends and taking the best shot as I could. During the showdown, I enjoyed every single second of it. The feeling was really unexplainable as I sat beside him and watched the show together. That was something-like sweet when the fireworks Display began. We were watching at the middle of the Plaza Burgos wearing the sweetest smile ever.

The most awaited part of the City Fiesta was held on the 25th. There was a Grand Parade joined by Government Officials and Employees, Owner of a merchandise, students, teachers, supervisors, well-known person and many more. It took almost one and a half hour. There was also a Zarzuela last January 28.

Those were just a snap details of the whole celebration. It is a yearly tradition that we are recognizing the feast of our patron Saint--Saint Paul. Keep this culture and we'll be having a well-again fiesta in the future.
